The replying author link is still dynamic... "/users.php?mode=profile&uid=4"..this should be "/userprofile/4.html".
I have spent a lot of time trying to figure out why this is happening and haven't found the answer yet.

The way to eliminate the dynamic author link is to change the default comment mode in config.php to nested or flat.
